Application Fee – Application fee is INR 50/- and examination fee is INR 50/- for each test. Examination fee is payable to the Secretary, Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission, Hyderabad. Examination fee is payable in the form of Challan at any branch of State Bank of India or Andhra Pradesh On-Line Centre.

APPSC conducts the many examinations for many departments under the article 320 (1) of the constitution of India. APPSC major function is Direct Recruitment (Article 320 (1)), Recruitment by Transfer (Article 320(3) (b)), Disciplinary Cases (Article 320 (3) (c)), Statutory rules relating to service (Article 320 (3) (a) & (b)) and regulation 17 (1) (a) to (e).
APPSC conducts various examinations in the state of Andhra Pradesh. APPSC conducts many examinations for various department posts like Lecturers, Doctors, Engineers, Forest Officers, Deputy Collector, Clerks and Police Officers. APPSC conducts half yearly examination for Indian Administrative Officer (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and proficiency test for AIS officers.

Exam pattern and Syllabus for Group I
Group has 3 tests. First test is Preliminary written test. Second test is main written exam and final test is personal interview. Preliminary exam has objective type questions. It has General studies and mental ability questions. Duration for this exam is 150 minutes. Maximum mark for this examination is 150 marks.
Main written exam has 5 papers. It is a conventional type paper. Paper I is General essay paper. Duration for this exam is 3 hours. Paper I has 150 marks. Paper II questions are based on history, culture, social history of Andhra Pradesh; General Overview of Indian Constitution, etc. paper II has 150 marks. Durations for this exam are 3 hours. Paper III questions are based on Planning and economic of India, AP present status its and Strength and weakness. Paper III has 150 marks. Duration for this exam is 3 hours. Paper IV questions are based on role and impact of Science and Technology, general awareness and environment problem. Paper IV has 150 marks. Duration for this examination is 3 hours. Paper V questions are based on data presentation in tabular, problem solving, etc. paper V has 150 marks. Duration for this exam is 3 hours. Total mark for main written test is 750 marks. Mark for interview test is 75 marks.
A total mark is 875 marks. Qualifying mark for SC/ST/PWD candidate is 247.50 marks, OBC candidate is 288.75 marks and other candidate is 330 marks.
Exam Pattern and Syllabus for Group II Exam
Group II has two tests. One is written exam and another one is interview. Written exam has three papers. Paper I is General Studies Paper. Paper I has 150 marks. Duration for this examination is 2.50 hours. Paper II questions are based on Social and Culture History of AP, General Overview of Constitution of India. Paper II has 150 marks. Duration for this exam is 2.30 hours. Paper III questions are based on Planning, Contemporary problem, economy, development of society, etc. paper III has 150 marks. Duration for this exam is 2.30 hours.
Total mark is 450 marks. Qualifying mark for SC/ST/PWD candidate is 135 marks, OBC candidate is 157.5marks and other candidate is 180 marks.
Exam Pattern and Syllabus for Group IV Exam
Group IV has two stages. One is written test. Second stage is document verification. Written test has 2 papers. Paper I is General Studies paper. Paper I has 150 general studies questions. Paper I has 150 marks. Duration for this examination is 2.30 hours. Paper II is Secretarial Abilities paper. It has 150 marks and 150 questions. Duration for this examination is 2.30 hours.
APPSC Eligibility Criteria
Candidate’s age should be between 18 years to 36 years. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved category and specially category candidates as per the government rules. Candidate should have educational qualification as needed in for the post. Most of the pot educational qualification is candidates should have graduate degree from recognized university or institute. Physical fitness is also required based on the vacancy.

Candidate should apply for this post through online mode only. Candidate log on the official website of APPSC which is www.apspsc.gov.in and select the recruitment post. Then candidate select the ‘apply now’ link and enter your registration ID and password. Now your application form is open. Then enter your details. Candidate must submit your application through online mode only. Then upload your photo and signature. After the application submission, computers automatically generate the Acknowledgement card. Candidate should save this acknowledgement card for future use.
