BPSC www.bpsc.bih.nic.in – Bihar Public Service Commission conducts the civil service examination in the state of Bihar. Bihar public service commission was established under the constitution of India.  Bihar public service commission announced the recruitment for various post and invites the application for these post. BPSC select the applicants for Civil Service jobs in the State of Bihar, India according to the applicant’s rules of reservation.Candidates will be selected based on three methods. First method is both competitive examination and personality test. Second method is only by interview. Third method is only by competitive method. Then Bihar PSC will be selected the candidate based on the rank list. Rank list will be prepared based on the performance in the above test. Selected candidates will be appointed in particular place.

For direct recruitment job, BPSC conducts the competitive examination and selected the based on the merit list. Promotion is granted to civil servants through the departmental promotion committee. BPSC Exam Pattern

The BPSC has three tests. First two tests is written exam. Third test is personal interview. In BPSC two types of written test are there. First one is Preliminary examination. Candidates first attend this Preliminary written test. Selected candidates then attend the Main examination. Finally personal interview was conducted by the BPSC.

Exam Syllabus

BPSC has Preliminary and main examination. Preliminary examination has 3 compulsory papers and main examination has 2 optional papers.

BPSC Syllabus for Preliminary Examination

Preliminary examination has objective questions. Preliminary examination has three compulsory papers. Paper I is an English paper. Paper I questions are based on spotting the errors, Antonyms and Synonyms, Filling in the blanks, Use preposition, Idioms/Phrases, Word Analogies, Test of Spelling, Rearrange Jumbled Sentence, Comprehension of passage and answering questions based on the passage, etc.

Paper I has 100 marks. Paper II is a General Knowledge paper. Paper II questions are based on Current events of national and international importance, history of India and Indian National movement, Indian and world geography, Indian polity and economy, general mental ability questions, etc. paper II has 200 marks.

Paper III is a Mathematics paper. Paper III questions are based on Algebra, Liner algebra, calculus, trigonometry, analytic geometry, ordinary differential equations, dynamics, statics and hydrostatics, vector analysis, real analysis, complex analysis, partial differential equation, etc. Paper III has 200 marks.

BPSC Main Examination Syllabus

Main examination has two optional subjects. Candidate selects any two subjects from the optional subject list. Optional subjects are Geography, Mathematics, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Economics, Statistics, Agriculture, Zoology and Chemistry. Each optional subject has two papers. First optional subject has two papers (Paper IV and Paper V) and Second optional subject paper has two papers (Paper VI and Paper VII). Totally optional subject has 4 papers. Each paper has 200 marks. Total marks for main examination is 1200 marks.

BPSC Interview Procedure

After finishing the preliminary examination and main examination, BPSC conducts the interview for selected candidates only. Finally Bihar Public Service Commission release the results based on the performance in Preliminary examination, main examination and interview. BPSC allot 150 marks for interview.

Bihar Public Service Commission Eligibility Criteria

Minimum age for applying these examinations is 19 year. Maximum age limit for applying these examinations is 40 years. Age relaxation is applicable as per the government rules. . Candidate should have educational qualification as needed in for the post. Candidate should have graduate in Mathematics or Statistics or Geology or Natural Science or Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Economics or Chemical Engineering.

BPSC Exam Date

It is available in the notification. Exam date will be published in the official website of Bihar Public Service Commission. Candidate log on the official website which is www.bpsc.bih.nic.in/Default.asp then find the needed examination date and view the examination date.

Candidate should apply for this post through offline mode only. Candidate log on the official website of Bihar Public Service Commission which is www.bpsc.bih.nic.in saw the recruitment post. Then download the prescribed application format of application from the official website of Bihar Public Service Commission which is www.bpsc.bih.nic.in/Advt/PA-01-04-2014-Specialist-Doctor.pdf and fill the application form. BPSC Admit Card

Bihar Public Service Examination conducts the various examinations based on the department recruitment post. BPSC releases the admit card/hall ticket for all the examination conducted by BPSC. The BPSC releases the admit card before 15 days from the date of examination. The admit card will be released in the official website of BPSC. Candidate should download their admit card before the examination. The admit card has candidates name, exam time and date, seat number, exam venue, hall ticket number, etc. admit card is the identity to enter your examination hall. For BPSC Admit Card download, Candidates log on the official website of Bihar Public Service Commission which is www.bpsc.bih.nic.in and enter your application number and date of birth. Then download your admit card.

Bihar Public Service Commission Answer Key

After finishing the examination Answer key will be released in the official website of BPSC. The written exam answer key will be released in the separate sets like set a, set B.

  1. Sir jiiiiiii ! Please consider that ‘General Category’ candidates are also in existence in this country… reservation has become norm but at least un-reserved should be in existence. The age limit mentioned in your article is not for ‘General Candidates’ . The age limit for ‘General Category’ candidates is 37 years….

    Kindly suggest me books which are in English medium for studying Bihar perspective topics and question bank in english medium too as i am unable to find one. Also please guide me how to study for Paper 3 i.e Mathematics. Also in syllabus section you have not mentioned about Political Science as optional, kindly confirm on the same if its there or not.
