OPSC Online www.opsconline.gov.in – The Odisha Public Service Commission is central agency. OPSC was established in the year of 1924. OPSC was established by the Constitution of India. This Act is to ensure future capability and sustainability within the Public Service in the state of Odisha. This commission to conduct examinations for direct recruitment jobs to the service of the Odisha state.OPSC conducts the various examinations in the state of Odisha. In OPSC candidate will be selected based on the written test and oral test. For non interview jobs, candidate will be selected based on the written test only. Remaining jobs candidate will be selected based on the written test and personal interview.

OPSC Online Exam Pattern

Odisha public service commission has many types of examination. The OPSC has two tests. First tests is written exam. Second test is personal interview. Some of recruitment post, OPSC conducts only the written exam. Based on the written exam, OPSC is directly select candidates. Some of recruitment post, OPSC conducts the written exam and Oral Test. After finishing the all the test OPSC releases the final result.

OPSC Syllabus for Civil service Examination

Civil service Examination has three tests. First one is preliminary examination and second one is main examination. Then third one is interview.

OPSC Syllabus for Preliminary Examination

Preliminary examination has two papers. Paper I has objective type questions. Paper I questions are based on General Studies questions. Paper I has 150 marks. Paper II is Optional paper. Candidate selects any one of the subject from the optional subject list. Paper II has objective type questions. Paper II 300 marks. Total mark for preliminary examination is 450 marks.

OPSC Syllabus for Main Examination

The main examination has 9 papers. Paper I is Oriya Language. Paper I has 300 marks. Paper I questions are based on Comprehension of a given passage, Precis writing with a passage of around 1000 words,  Translation from English to Oriya, Grammar, usage and vocabulary, Short Essay of around 1000 words, Expansion of an idea, etc. paper II is English. Paper II has 300 marks. Paper II questions are based on Comprehension of a given passage, Precis writing with a passage of around 1000 words,  Translation from  Oriya to English, Grammar, usage and vocabulary, Short Essay of around 1000 words, Expansion of an idea, etc.

Paper III is English Essay. Paper III has 200 marks. Paper III questions are based on essay on a specifics topic. Paper IV is General Studies I paper. Paper IV has 300 marks. Paper IV questions are based on History of Modern India and Indian Culture, Geography of India, Indian polity, Current national Issues, Social relevance, legal and environmental issues, etc. Paper V is General studies II paper. Paper V has 300 marks. Paper V questions are based on Foreign Affairs, External security and related matters, Nuclear police, Indians abroad, Indian Economy, International Affairs and Institution, developments in the field science & technology, communication and spaces, statistical analysis, graph and diagram, etc.

Candidates select the two subjects from the optional subject list. Each optional subject has two papers like Paper VI, Paper VII, Paper VIII and Paper IX. Each paper has 300 marks. Totally main examination has 2700 marks. Interview has 250 marks.

OPSC Eligibility criteria

Candidate’s age should be between 21 years to 32 years. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved category and specially category candidates as per the government rules. Candidate should have educational qualification as needed in for the post. Most of the pot educational qualification is candidates should have graduate degree from recognized university or institute. Physical fitness is also required based on the vacancy.

Candidates should apply for this post through online mode only. Candidates log on the official website of Odisha Public Service Commission which is www.opsconline.gov.in and select apply online link. Then candidates enter your personal details and educational details. Then upload your photograph and signature. Then submit your application through online. Candidates take the print out of application for future use.

OPSC Admit Card

Odisha Public Service Examination conducts the various examinations based on the need recruitment post. OPSC released the admit card/hall ticket for all the examination conducted by OPSC. The OPSC was released the admit card before 15 days from the date of examination. The admit card will be released in the official website of Odisha PSC. Candidate should download their admit card before the examination. The admit card has candidates name, exam time and date, seat number, exam venue, hall ticket number, etc. admit card is the identity to enter your examination hall.

Answer Key
After finishing the examination Answer key will be released in the official website of OPSC. The written exam answer key will be released in the separate sets like set a, set B.
