SSC conducts various examinations for various departments. SSC conducts the various examinations like Combined Graduate Level Examination, Junior Translator examination, Assistant Sub Inspector, Stenographer, junior engineer examination, Food Corporation of India, Prasar Bharathi, Junior Engineer and Cabinet Secretariat, Combined Metric Level Examination, Section Officer Examination, Data Entry Operator examination, Tax Assistant Examination, Deputy Field Officer Examination, Statistical Invigilator Grade IV examination, Section Officer Examination, etc.
It conducts the various examinations under the category of Group C and Group D.
SSC Exam Pattern 2014
Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level examination has three tiers. Tier I is a written examination. Tier II is also a written examination and Tier III is Personality Test/Computer proficiency test/skill test/document verification. Junior Engineering Exam has two tests. One is written test and another one is Interview.

SSC CGL Syllabus 2014 [Combined Graduate Level]
Combined graduate level examination has 3 tiers. Tier I has objective type questions. It has 200 marks. It has 0.25 negative marks for each wrong answer. Durations for this examination are 2 hours. In this exam first 50 questions are based on General Intelligence and Reasoning. It has 50 marks. Second 50 questions are based on General awareness and it has 50 marks. Next 50 questions are based on Quantitative Aptitude and it has 50 marks. Last 50 questions are based on English Comprehensive and it has 50 marks.
Tier II has objective type questions. Tier II has two categories. One is Statistical Investigator Grade II and post for no interview and Statistical Investigator Grade II and Computer. In first category, Tier II has two papers. Paper I is Quantitative Abilities. It has 100 questions and 200 marks. Second paper is English Language Comprehension. It has 200 marks. Second category exam has three papers. Paper I is Quantitative Abilities. It has 200 marks and 100 questions. Paper II is English Language Comprehension. It has 200 marks. Paper III is Statics. It also has 300 marks.
Tier III has Personality Test Cum Interview, Computer Proficiency Test, Skill Test and Document verification.
SSC Junior Engineer Syllabus
It has written test and interview. Written test has two papers. Paper has objective type questions. Paper I questions are based on General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Part A general Engineering (Civil & Structural) or Part B (Electrical) or Part C (Mechanical). It has 100 marks. Duration for this examination is 2 hours. Paper II has conventional type questions. Paper II questions are based on Part a general engineering (Civil & Structural) or Part B general engineering (Electrical) or Part C General Engineering (Mechanical). Part II has 300 marks. Duration for this exam is 2 hours. Second test is interview. Interview has 100 marks.
SSC Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Age limit for this SSC Preliminary examination is 21 years and maximum age limit for SSC examination is 30 years. Age relaxation is applicable as per the government rules. Candidate should have graduation in mention degree. Educational qualification is changed based on the recruitment. Most of the examination educational qualification is degree in any discipline or mentioned disciplines. Candidate should have graduate degree from a recognized university or institute. All the candidates are allowed for 4 attempts. This attempt may be increased based on the candidate. There is a relaxation for SC/ST candidates

Candidate should apply for this SSC examination through online mode only. Candidate log on the official website which is www.ssconline.nic.in and select the recruitment post. Then candidate select the ‘apply now’ link and enter your registration ID and password. Now your application form is open. Then enter your details. In SSC 2 types of registrations are there, that is Part I registration and part II registration. Candidate must submit the Part I and Part II registration through online mode only. After the application submission, computers automatically generate the Acknowledgement card. Candidate should save this acknowledgement card for future use.
