UPPSC www.uppsc.up.nic.in – Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission – The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) is the state agency authorized. UPPSC conducts the civil service examination and appoints the selected candidates to various civil service posts in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The UPPSC agency’s charter is granted by the constitution of India. Article 315 to 323 of part XIV of the constitution, titled service under the union and states for a Public Service Examination for the union and for the each state.

In this UPPSC, candidate will be selected based on five methods. In first method candidates will be selected on the basis of interview only. In second method candidates will be selected on the basis of screening test and interview. In third method candidate will be selected on the basis of examination only. In fourth method candidate will be selected on the basis of examination and interview only. In fifth method candidate will be selected on the basis of preliminary examination, main examination and interview.

Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission conducts the various examinations for various department posts. Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission conducts the various examinations like combined state/upper subordinate preliminary examination, combined state/upper subordinate state main examination, combined state/lower subordinate examination, R.O/A.R.O preliminary examination, R.O/A.R.O main examination, A.P.S. examination, Assistant Registrar Examination, combined state engineering examination, U.P. Nyayic Seva (Junior Division) examination and assistant prosecuting Officer Examination.

UPPSC Prelims Syllabus

Preliminary exam has two papers. Paper I is General Studies I paper. Paper I has objective type questions. Paper I has 200 marks. Duration for this exam is 2 hours. Paper I questions are based on current affairs in national and international events, history, Indian polity, economic, social development, geography, etc. paper II is General Studies II paper. Paper II questions are based on Indian Geography, world geography, Indian constitution, issues relating to environment and ecology, general science, economics, social developments, etc. paper II questions are available in English and Hindi languages. Paper II has 200 marks. Duration for this examination is 2 hours.

UPPSC Syllabus for Main Examination

UPPSC main exam has 6 papers. All the papers have conventional type questions. Paper I has two sections. Section I has essay questions and Section I has 200 marks. Section II questions is English comprehension and English précis. Section II has 100 marks. Paper I questions are based on the high school/class 11th level only. Totally paper I has 300 marks. Paper II has objective type questions. Paper ii is general studies paper. Paper II question are based on Indian heritage and culture, history and geography of world and society. Paper II has 250 marks. Paper III is a General Studies II paper. Paper III questions are based on constitution, polity, social justice, Indian heritage, culture, world and society. Paper III ahs 250 marks. Paper IV is general studies III paper. Paper IV questions are based on economic development, disaster management, technology, environment, bio diversity, security, etc. paper has 250 marks. Paper V is a General Studies IV paper. Paper V questions are based on integrity, aptitude and ethics. Paper V has 250 marks. Paper VI is an optional subject. Candidate should choose any one of subject from the optional subject list. Paper VI has 250 marks.
Total mark for main exam is 1500 marks. Total mark for written exam (both preliminary and main examination) is 1800 marks.

After finishing the preliminary examination and main examination, Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission conducts the interview for selected candidates. Total marks for interview is 275 marks.

Candidate should apply for this post through online mode only. Candidate log on the official website of UPPSC online which is www.uppsc.up.nic.in and select the online registration form. Then candidate select the recruitment post and select ‘apply’ link. Now your application form is open. Then enter your details. Candidate must submit your application through online mode only. Then upload your photo and signature. After the application submission, computers automatically generate the Acknowledgement card. Candidate should save this acknowledgement card for future use.
